Always have a rod out service preformed on your radiator by a professional radiator shop. Not a flush, but a rod out.

Always use the long block only. Never use anything that came with the engine except the head and block. This will help you to avoid problems in the future.

Always replace the following parts with New ones:

• Spark Plugs
• Thermostat Unit
• Water Pump
• Timing Belt
• Oil
• Oil Filter
• Gaskets
• Front and Rear Main Seals
• Cam Seals
• PCV Valve

Always prime the engine with motor oil before starting. This will reduce wear on start up.

These are just things that You should consider replacing.
